Oh, say say say.

My scallops last night at La Tasca were the prettiest.

I’ve lived in the District for exactly 7 months now, and I can’t believe it’s taken me THIS long to try out DC Brau. Last night made up for that.

To start, I had The Public Ale, their standard pale ale, on the rooftop of Marvin on U St. Nothing special, but I’d still order it again.

Later on at American Ice Company, I tried their imperial IPA (which I believe is called On The Wings of Armageddon) on draft and fell in love - but maybe that was the 9.2% ABV talking. Both the beer and the venue (think hipsterish barbecue with plenty of outdoor seating) are highly recommended for anyone who finds themselves in the area.

I’m in! This looks like Dayglow, except with endorphins instead of amphetamines.

It’s currently 60 degrees in the District and I’m drinking a JosephsBrau Dunkelweizen with all the windows open and everything is beautiful and nothing hurt.

The Passenger might be my new favorite bar in the District. I still cannot believe how insanely delicious their “Lion’s Tail” cocktail was:

• 2 ounces Bourbon Whiskey
• ½ to ¾ ounces Allspice Dram
• ½ ounce fresh lime juice
• ½ spoonful of simple syrup
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
